Growing up Hart

I'm a new used mommy!! I have a fabulous family which consists of myself, my husband, our precious little girl and our little baby boy! We also have 2 dogs, 2 crazy cats and a pond full of Koi, Goldfish and occasional vistors like frogs and salamanders. We welcome them all to our family. The absolute most important part of our little family is our very own little "Princess Shannon and Prince Tyler". They are... "Growing up Hart".

A DAY AT THE PARK! Did somebody say picnic? Shane and I took Shannon to Woodward Park on Sunday. It was her first real park experience. I packed a picnic style lunch for all of us. We started the day out by stopping at the Hostess Outlet store down the street to buy some bread for the Ducks and Geese. Then we headed to the Park. First we took a relaxing yet exciting walk through the Japanese Gardens. We saw Peacock's running wild, squirrels playing games of tag with one another and jumping around in the tree's. The landscaping was beautiful, as always. There are several waterfalls in different sizes accompanied by streams that weaved in and out of the area. Shannon loved the waterfalls!
Not too many years ago, the giant Koi Pond was poisoned and they lost most of the fish. It was very upsetting to most who have been there before. I am glad to report that they have more in the pond once again. These are just as big as the originals. Shane and I were pleased, to say the least. I tried to get an group picture of some fish that were swimming close to us.
When we left the Japanese Gardens we went on a long walk around the park on the many different pathways. Shannon was tired, by this time she is usually down for her second nap. She slept almost the whole walk.
After the walk and Shannon's nap, we took our picnic down to the lake side to have lunch and feed the 'DUCKIES'!! Shannon pointed and waved at them all in excitement. It was a fun experience for her. My arm has been sore for a couple of days from the vigorous bread throwing technique to reach the little ducks in back who never seem to stand a chance at getting any food. Shane's legs are still sore from all of the walking we did that day.
All in all I would definitely say:
"It was a GOOD day"!!
