Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve with Shane's dad's side of the fam! When we showed up Shannon was in full X-mas attire, but for dinner I put her in plain clothes so she could get messy. I should have brought some prettier comfy clothes to put her in after dinner because these were just not very cute for pics. Oh well, watcha gonna do? Nothin, that's what. This really cool high-chair attaches to the chair at the dinner table. It was bought by Shannon's G-grandpa Dwain so she didn't have to sit in our laps. He's so sweet! He love's him some Shannon I tell you!

She was carrying around other peoples gifts instead of her own, and having so much fun doing it.
I never got a clear shot of this ribbon on her head from the front, but try to imagine she looked like a pirate. Aarrg!

B-day Milestones

First Birthdays are a huge milestone for any baby and their parents. Most babies love to get messy and dive right on in to the cake, right? Well, not the princess, she acted like the cake was going to eat her alive instead. She was so scared of it. She cried the whole time the cake was in front of her. My dilemma is that her pediatrician has a "Board of Firsts" in his office for everyone to see all of the great cake shots. So far, Shannon is the only one who is not up yet, and her first was months ago! So I decided to fake a few, I gave her some left over cake from my nephews birthday and she loved every bite! ENJOY!!

I do it!

So Shannon has recently been trying to eat all by herself. So we tried quite a few things:

some messy, some not so messy.

This is a bowl of chicken and vegetable baby food with some chunks of meat and cheese added. Of course, she picked out all of the chunks first.
This started as a plain cheese burger, and as you can see she didn't want daddy anywhere near it. He was just trying to give her a kiss goodbye!
